Freelance Writing for the Wahm

Do you have a way with words? Do you enjoy the challenge of researching topics? Can you adhere to a deadline? If so, then maybe freelance writing is for you. So what exactly does it mean to be a 'freelance writer'? Simply, you write for a company, or even an individual, on a project by project basis. There may be a formal contract involved, many times not. After you have completed the writing project to the contractor's satisfaction, you move on.

Write On
So what do you write about? It depends on the requirements of the assignment. You can specialize in areas such as business, marketing, health, manufacturing, you choose. It's probably best though to stick with an area that you are knowledgeable on or that you can research well enough to write.

Who Hires Freelancers
Freelancers are used by newspapers, and magazines, both online and off. Many people who need copy for online publications will use freelancers to keep their websites and blogs up to date.
