How To Get Paid For Writing

Unfortuately, this site is no longer functioning.

If you're intersted in getting paid for writing, a quick and easy way to get started and to build up a portfolio of work is a site I've discovered called PrintnPost.

Although you aren't paid directly for the work you submit, you will receive any Adsense revenue that your writing generates.

Signup is easy and you can log in daily to submit articles and blog posts. A snippet of your articles and blogs will be featured on the front page of the site for a day or so before being moved into the sites archives. Depending on your subject matter however, you can still be found rather easily in the search engines.

Getting Paid to Write

If you are wanting to make the most of your writing efforts, you will need to determine what popular category you can write about. Although this isn't necessary, it WILL bring in more visitors to your site - and that's what we want right? An easy way to find often searched for topics is to see what's featured on the home pages of Yahoo or Msn. These sites HAVE to stay fresh and current so they know what the current trends and interests of the general population are.

Once you determine a category that's searched for fairly frequently, you'll want to make sure that you pepper your writing with relevant keywords. This is more for the search engines' benefit than the reader, as search engines will place you higher in results if your article is determined to be relevant to a particular topic. The more targeted the keywords, the more relevant.

My blog post regarding Word Art Creator can be found doing a search for that term on Google (as of this writing) in the number 2 position out of 457 entries.

While earnings you receive from clicks on Adsense ads are often only pennies, with enough popular, keyword targeted articles and blogs, those pennies are bound to add up.
